That's certainly a reasonable assumption, but the capacity of the trailer dolly won't actually be a factor in how easily it moves your trailer.
What matters is the dolly itself and how it's configured. For example, I recommend the Rack'em Trailer Dolly # RA20, which has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity with 24" wheel spacing for easy maneuverability.

Actually the Rack'em Trailer Dolly # RA20 will work well with a trailer that has a 2 inch coupler. When using a tow dolly the tongue weight alone of the trailer will keep the coupler attached to it. You do not have to use the exact same size hitch ball on a dolly. That is why frequently tow dollies will use a small sized hitch ball so that all coupler sizes can be used on them.

A standard trailer dolly like # RA20 is not directly compatible with the Lock N Roll hitch system. There is not a dolly designed to work with that system, however if you were to use a similar system with the ability to attach to a hitch ball, then a dolly could be utilized.
